Hailing from the vast Inner Mongolian grasslands, Anda Union is a nine-piece ensemble on a mission to bring their ancient nomadic culture into the 21st century. Their name, Anda, means "blood brother" or "sworn ally" in Mongolian, perfectly reflecting the deep bond between the musicians who have studied and performed traditional music together since childhood.
Anda Union's thoroughly addictive sound is a powerful fusion of diverse Mongolian musical traditions, showcasing both the breathtaking beauty of the steppes and the fierce, unyielding spirit of the Mongol people. Their performance in the beautiful setting of the Mackintosh Church promises to be a truly transportive and unforgettable experience.
