Clive Carroll’s Celtic Connections show coincides with the release of his new album The Abbot, which features the music of acoustic guitar legend John Renbourn. Founding member of cult band Pentangle, Renbourn needs little introduction for those who followed the folk revival of the 1960s. His sumptuous catalogue of recordings spans musical genres from blues and jazz through to folk and demonstrates his extraordinary talent.
This is a rare opportunity to hear some of Renbourn’s greatest compositions performed live by Carroll – recently described by Total Guitar Magazine as ‘arguably the most accomplished finger-stylist in the world today’ – and special guest Dariush Kanani.
