Please see the programme below for Saturday 5th August

Michael McGovern & Scott C.Park (4.40pm to 5.20pm)

Michael McGovern and Scott C. Park collaborate for a one-off show at this year's UCI Cycling World Championships. Backed by a band, it will be a collaborative reimagining of their recent work, with subtle roots arrangements and adorned with rich vocal harmonies. Michael McGovern’s signature sound of fingerpicking guitars, heartfelt lyrics and harmony was praised by BBC Radio Scotland and RTE Lyric, as well as folk legend Paul Brady.

Scott C. Park is a singer-songwriter from the Isle of Lewis making country-influenced guitar pop, combining the wit and smirk of bands like Wilco with the depth of Elliott Smith.

Mischa MacPherson (5.40pm to 6.35pm)

Lewis-born singer Mischa Macpherson has scooped several major UK folk awards – a fitting testament to her music’s ‘pure-distilled expressiveness and radiant vitality’. Named Gaelic Singer of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards and BBC Radio 2’s Young Folk Award Winner, she has toured across Europe, Canada and Australia with her own band, and collaborated with renowned musicians including Carlos Nunez and Martin Bennett's GRIT Orchestra. ‘An artist of deep sensitivity [and] fresh, young, vibrant perspective’ (Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2), she unearthed her love for music and Gaelic growing up in the Outer Hebrides, and it is these influences that the singer now presents with clarity and tenderness to audiences around the world.

The Siobhan Miller Band (6.45pm to 7.50pm)

One of Scotland’s most celebrated folk singer-songwriters, Siobhan Miller has earned numerous accolades, including four BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards' Scots Singer of the Year titles and a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Traditional Track. All five of her solo releases have been shortlisted for BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards Album of the Year, including her latest record, Bloom, which was released in 2022 to wide acclaim. Siobhan's unique vocal style has been honed through collaborations with many of Scotland's top musicians, including Eddi Reader, Kris Drever & Phil Cunningham.
