Pàdruig Morrison, an acclaimed accordionist and composer from Grimsay in the Outer Hebrides, presents his unique project, Buin.
A 2020 finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year, Pàdruig’s music is deeply rooted in his inherited Gaelic oral tradition. He effortlessly straddles the worlds of Scottish traditional music and contemporary classical composition, a synthesis he explored in his PhD research.
Performing regularly with his band Beinn Lee, this solo project sees Pàdruig pushing beyond traditional norms. His music is a powerful, innovative voice connecting his Gaelic heritage with new compositional horizons.
