Over the past 25 years Gordon Maclean established An Tobar on Mull as one of the smallest but happiest venues on the Scottish touring circuit. So many great musicians have played in that tiny room over a quarter of a century including Robin Williamson, John Renbourn, Michael Marra, Martyn Bennett, Frightened Rabbit, Phil & Aly, Dougie MacLean, Amy MacDonald, Dàimh, Dick Gaughan, Jock Tamson’s Bairns, Session A9, Rose Room and so many more. You can even find a YouTube interview where Laura Marling says it’s her favourite venue! What a great honour to win Venue of the Year 2019 at the last Trad Awards before lockdown. People came to Tobermory to perform, compose, record, teach and often to grab a quick snooze in Ester’s cafe.

This afternoon concert will welcome a few of the amazing people to grace that stage.
