Uniting the riches of Irish ballad tradition with the subversive irreverence of punk, Dundalk-based trio The Mary Wallopers built a devoted home following with their rambunctious lockdown livestreams, and arrive in Glasgow fresh from headlining Dublin’s Vicar Street. After starting out singing for beer around local pubs, brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy, plus longtime pal Seán McKenna, keep that session-style spirit alive in a gloriously raw, raucous and raunchy vocal blend, as heard on their 2019 EP, A Mouthful of The Mary Wallopers.

“Generation-bridging balladry with a perfectly absurdist touch” (Dazed)
