Glasgow Community Events Fund

Glasgow Community Events Fund

Could your community project benefit from a cash boost?

Please note that due to an overwhelming positive response of deserving applications received to our first round, the decision has been made to allocate the total fund in November and there will not be a second round as first advertised.

Do you have an idea for an event in your community? Apply to the Glasgow Community Events Fund to make it happen!

This fund is open to formally constituted local community groups working for and with people in Glasgow and aims to help them do more, reach more people, or try something different! We want communities all over Glasgow to be inspired and make something happen that matters locally.

You may be planning a Winter Festival event or Christmas Fair, maybe a Family Fun Day during the mid-term break in February 2019 or want to enhance your Street Play 2018 programme. Or perhaps St Andrew’s Day Ceilidh or Burns Supper. It’s up to you – anything is possible!

We are particularly interested in funding events that;

  • help reduce social isolation and loneliness
  • support health and well-being
  • take place in areas of highest deprivation
  • are aimed at children and families
  • help to alleviate poverty

This fund is open to formally constituted local community groups working for and with people in Glasgow. One-off grants of £500, £750 or £1,000 are available to support a range of community events.

The closing date has now passed. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of applications by the close of business 29th November 2018.

Please note that due to an overwhelming positive response of deserving applications received to our first round, the decision has been made to allocate the total fund in November and there will not be a second round as first advertised.
