Scotland team named for DNA Athletics in Glasgow

Tickets still on sale for February 5 at the Emirates Arena

Olympic medallist Laura Muir leads the Scotland selection for the DNA Athletics event at the Emirates Arena.

Tickets are selling fast for the innovative event organised by European Athletics for Saturday 5 February in Glasgow.

Scotland will take on five other nations – England, Wales, Ireland, Spain and Portugal – for the right to be named DNA Champions for 2022.

And we’re delighted today to name 18 athletes selected to represent Scotland with some great back stories therein and vest debuts for a number of athletes.

MEN

60m: Allan Hamilton (John Scott, Edinburgh AC)

60m Hurdles: Scott Connal (Colin Sinclair, Kilbarchan AAC)

High Jump: Will Grimsey (Graham Ravenscroft, Woodford Green and Essex Ladies)

Shot Putt: Craig Charlton (Woodford Green and Essex Ladies)

Mixed 4 x 400m Relay: Krishawn Aiken (Chris Baillie, Kilbarchan AAC) and Kyle Alexander (Giffnock North AC)

Mixed 2 x 200m Relay: Murray Fotheringham (Colin Sinclair, Giffnock North AC)

The Hunt: Ben Greenwood 600m (Carol Sharp, Perth Strathtay Harriers); Dean Patterson 200m (Norrie Hay/David Watson Glasgow School of Sport)

WOMEN
