Kanwar Grewal Live in Concert

Kanwar Grewal born in Village Mehma Swai of District Bathinda, Punjab in the home of Sardar Beant Singh and Manjit Kaur, began his musical journey when he was in fourth standard. He learned the basics of music from Vijay Kumar Sachdeva. Kanwar attained his graduation in Music from SBS College Kotkapura, further achieving his Master of Arts in Vocal Music in 2006 from Punjabi University Patiala. Post graduation, Kanwar engaged in background music production until 2012.

He took the step into professional singing with his soulful song “MAAF KARIN RABBA”, which was promoted on Chandigarh Doordarshan. After which, he released his song “AKHAAN” on social sites, which garnered appreciation from listeners of all generations. Whilst growing his fan base doing live shows, he released his debut album on 22 July 2013 titled “AKHAAN”. The album was a milestone in the Sufi genre. Shortly after this release, his second album titled “JOGI NATH” was released on 20 December 2013. 2013 was the year where this versatile singer reached new heights. June 2014 brought another great track, “RANJHE YA VE”. Kanwar Grewal began to really spread his wings amongst the diaspora, conducting his first UK tour in August 2014. Following this, in October 2014 he also brought his soulful music to Canadian shores for the second time.

After the great success of his Canadian tour, the biggest Indian music label, T-Series, released his soulful song “TICKTAN DO”, which achieved much appreciation and love from audiences all over the world. After the success of his album, Kanwar set several quality milestones in the genres of Sufi and soulful music. One of which, was the release of his much awaited song “MASTANA JOGI” which hit the airwaves in August 2015, and as the songs that came before, achieved huge success and respect from his fans worldwide. He made his debut as a playback singer in the Punjabi Film (Pollywood) industry with his song “FAKEERA” in the award winning super-hit movie “ARDAAS”. Kanwar Grewal has made his own mark in this era of commercial music with his style of Sufi singing. Till now, Kanwar Grewal has entertained his fans at over 1500 live shows the world over.
