The Glasgow launch of Malcolm Macdonald's The Darkest Dawn, the most comprehensive and definitive book to date on the Iolaire tragedy of 1919, written with Donald John Macleod.
The tragic sinking, in which over 200 men from Lewis and Harris lost their lives only a few metres from shore when the yacht carrying them home from the First World War was blown onto rocks by a fierce storm is explored in conversation with Alyth McCormack, who will provide a musical perspective of the tragedy.
