The National Library of Scotland at Kelvin Hall is delighted to have Felix along to run two film making workshops aimed at children and young people aged 8 – 16 and their care givers. 

Felix runs the Mobile Film School and works regularly with children and young people delivering engaging creative workshops. Felix will run two bespoke workshops using green screen technology to enable participants to become part of some of the films form the Moving Image Archive. 

Families can choose a film of interest such as footage from a football cup final or of the last day of the Glasgow trams, write a story that features themselves and become part of history. 

You do not need to attend both workshops. All materials will be provided. 

These workshops are ideally suited to children and young people aged 8 – 16 years of age and their care givers. All children and young people much be accompanied by a responsible adult. When booking FREE tickets via Eventbrite, please make sure to book a ticket for each individual family member attending.

Numbers are restricted so please make sure to book your places early. There will not be refreshments at this workshop so please bring water and a snack if required. No nuts please. Please email Hannah.Justad@nls.uk if you would like to discuss any access needs.

The car park on Bunhouse Road is managed by City Parking. Charges are as follows:

Mon-Sun 8am-6pm

  • 3 hours £4.80

  • 10 hours £10.00

Mon-Sun 6pm-8am, £2 flat rate.

First Bus services 2, 3 and 77 all stop outside the museum.

Kelvin Hall is situated on Argyle Street, around 6 minutes from the M8.
