Available at Kelvingrove:

1. Group Welcome

£7 per head

Enjoy a personalised welcome in the magnificent setting of Kelvingrove Centre Hall, where one of our guides will welcome you and your group to the museum and share insider tips. What’s included:

  • A personalised introduction to Kelvingrove with one of our knowledgeable museum guides
  • A synopsis of the “must see” world class objects at Kelvingrove, so your group know the  key pieces to visit when they explore the museum independently after the welcome
  • Insight into some fun and interesting behind the scenes facts about the building and the  objects and orientation of the venue facilities

Welcome to the museum typically lasts around 15 minutes. Maximum 20 guests. Available during museum opening hours 7 days a week.

2. Exclusive First Look

£1,000 per group
As our special guests, your group can avoid the queues, gain advanced entry and get a first look at Kelvingrove before we open to the public. Let your group explore our magnificent galleries and collections, at their own pace, as part of our exclusive out of hours access.  What’s included:

  • One hour exclusive out of hours access to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
  • 10% discount in Museum shop

Please note this is a self led tour, no guide is provided. One hour out of hours access 9am - 10am, available 7 days a week.

3. Kelvingrove Gems Tour

£240 per group

Join one of our knowledgeable museum guides who will take your guests on a journey through our extensive galleries, selecting key, not to be missed objects, and sharing behind the scenes insights and stories about this breathtaking venue. Explore gems including Mackintosh, Glasgow Boys, Scottish Colourists & Dali and discover the history of the building and the stories behind it. What’s included:

  • One hour tour of the true gems of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum with one of our knowledgeable museum guides
  • Reserve a space for your group in the Kelvingrove Restaurant. Catering can be organised in advance on request
  • Opportunity to add on keepsake gifts for your group or individuals, speak to our team to find out more about the options on offer
  • 10% discount in shop and free use of the cloakroom

Available during museum opening hours 7 days a week, maximum 20 guests per group. Keepsake gifts must be arranged in advance. Catering options, for an additional charge, can be ordered and paid for in advance for ease on the day.

4. Premium Curator Tour

£300 per group

Discover more about your favourite collection with our Premium Curator Tour. Our bespoke escorted tour provides you with an exclusive opportunity to delve further into a specialist topic area of your choice, with one of our world class Curators. Filled with insights and facts, this tour will provide you with a memorable experience not to be missed. What’s included:

  • Exclusive Curator’s tour providing in-depth insight into your favourite subject matter. Choose from: Scottish History, Arms and Armour, Scottish Art, Natural History, Mackintosh, British Art, Glasgow Boys, European Art
  • Reserve a space for your group in the Kelvingrove Restaurant. Catering can be organised in advance on request
  • 10% discount in Museum shop
  • Free use of the cloakroom

3. Riverside Tipple

£375 per group

Travel back in time with a whistle stop tour of Glasgow history in the iconic Riverside Museum before retiring to the infamous Mitre Bar for an exclusive cider tasting with Scottish award winning Thistly Cross Cider. What’s included:

  • A 30 minute tour of Riverside Museum’s key objects with exclusive access and photo opportunities
  • Be guided through a tasting of six farmhouse brewed ciders with commentary from a Thistly Cross expert
  • Enjoy a selection of artisan bar snacks during your tasting, exclusive use of the Mitre Bar for the duration of your tour
  • Free use of cloakroom

Maximum 15 guests. This experience is only available for guests aged 18 years and over.

4. VIP Interactive Tour

£375 per group

Give your guests a truly unforgettable experience as they’re led through the museum with an expert guide sharing stories on Glasgow’s remarkable history. Get exclusive access to trains, trams and fire engines from the past, a truly exceptional experience. What’s included:

  • One hour interactive tour with one of our knowledgeable museum guides
  • Exclusive access to a minimum of three objects where guests can experience a hidden side to the museum
  • 10% discount in shop
  • Reservation in the Riverside restaurant on request
  • Free use of cloakroom

Maximum 15 guests. Some objects are not easily accessible. Discuss any needs with co ordinators at time of booking.
