Castlemilk Stables

A community curated exhibition

We take objects from the museum collections so that they can be enjoyed by everyone. In particular, we work with communities who may find it difficult to visit our museum venues.

Cassiltoun Housing Association renovated the oldest building in Castlemilk, Castlemilk Stables as their new offices and community hub.

A community curated exhibition, supported by the Open Museum, takes pride of place in the entrance to the reception area.

The current display looks at the transformation of Castlemilk since the 1950s and was curated by the Castlemilk Parish Church Mens’ Group with artwork by Ash Loyden. If you live in Castlemilk, maybe your group could curate the next display, please get in touch with Cassiltoun Housing Association.
