Deirdre Nelson
Based in Glasgow for over 30 years, Deirdre has been working in textiles with communities, for exhibitions and commissions. She has delivered creative projects for previous Glasgow Life initiatives, focusing on the South Glasgow area of Linn.
Most recently, Deirdre has been delivering a range of activities exploring themes of circles, cycles and the circular economy. Her latest commission will see her developing these themes, with additional focus on repair and swap culture.
She will be working with Kirkriggs Primary School, Glasgow Community Food Network, and Cassiltoun Housing Association.
Swap Market Glasgow and Repair Cafe Glasgow will be assisting her.
