People of Glasgow Tour with Invisible Cities
Invisible Cities is a social enterprise that trains people who have experienced homelessness or social hardship to become walking tour guides of their own city.
Tours offer a unique and personal perspective, blending local history with powerful storytelling from trained guides. The People of Glasgow tour invites you to discover the heart of the city through the stories of the people who have shaped it, from famous faces to everyday Glaswegians who make the city what it is today.
Led by guide Angie, this 90-minute walking tour explores iconic sites and hidden corners, starting at the People’s Palace and ending at Nelson Mandela Place.
You’ll learn about Glasgow’s rich social history, local legends, and stories of activism, resilience, and change. This is not just a history tour, it’s a chance to see the city through a new lens and connect with the people behind the place. Every tour supports the mission to provide opportunities and positive change for people with lived experience of homelessness.
Takes place every day from 2.00pm-3.30pm
