Glasgow's Christmas Tree and The Crib

Don't miss Glasgow's 2025 Christmas display at Cathedral Square.

This year Glasgow Cathedral will provide a historic backdrop for our classic Christmas display.

Both our Christmas Tree and our famous nativity scene, The Crib, will be on show in Cathedral Square from November 20th.

The tree comes from a local supplier, stands 35 feet tall and holds up to 200 shiny Christmas baubles.

Cathedral Square is the perfect setting for The Crib, a marvellous steel sculpture that captures the biblical story of the birth of Jesus and the true spirit of Christmas. Designed in the 1990s and fabricated in Govan, The Crib weighs an incredible 2.5 tonnes.
