4 Great Reasons to Visit the Palace of Art

Palace of Art exterior
Situated in tranquil parkland just round the corner from Glasgow Club Bellahouston, the Palace of Art is a little gem of a centre and we think you should pay it a visit!

Here’s why:

Brand new football pitch

This summer, the Palace of Art opened its brand new 4G football pitch. It’s a dream to play on, as Clyde FC can vouch for, having trained there recently. It’s open from 9am every day, with both casual bookings and regular lets welcome. See here for booking info.

A Haven of Calm

You know how exercise is a good de-stresser? At the Palace of Art, consider the de-stress effect doubled. Enter through the leafy green park, and arrive in a modern, light and airy reception, with ultra helpful staff who take pride in giving you a smooth and easy visit to this immaculate centre. Take a fitness class in one of the studios overlooking a pretty central courtyard, complete with water feature! And if you opt for yoga or tai chi, it truly is a haven of calm.

Loads of Fitness Classes

We’ve got an extensive and varied programme of fitness classes which take place in one of the two studios, each with a fantastic sound system and courtyard view. Here are some ideas to start you off:

Willpower and Grace - Go barefoot and plug in to positive energy for the mind and body from the ground up. It’s a whole new kind of class that boosts your cardio system, improves your flexibility and strengthens your whole body. On at the Palace of Art on Monday mornings, and Tuesday/Wednesday evenings. Find a class.

Sunday morning Metafit! This high intensity interval class perfectly timed at 11am, so you can have your Sunday lie-in and then kick-start the rest of your day with a blast of endorphins! Book your space here.

Multi-task: Find a fitness class that runs at the same time as a kids gymnastics session at the Palace of Art and you could have the whole family getting their daily dose of activity all at the same time, in the same place! For example Wednesday’s Bobcats gymnastics session runs alongside a 30 minute Insanity class.

Lift It is coming. . .

Glasgow Club’s Lift It classes have proved insanely popular so far in the Gorbals SuperGym and so we’re planning on bringing them to the Palace of Art too. Keep an eye on the Glasgow Club e-news for details of when Lift It will arrive at the Palace of Art. More about Lift It.
