Fresh from the world premiere at El Cervantino, one of Mexico’s largest music festivals, Celtic Fandango is an extraordinary collaboration between many of the best musicians from Scotland and Mexico, resulting in a vibrant blend of tradition and innovation. In this unique marriage of classic folk song, dance and vibrant pipe tunes, renowned musicians from both sides of the Atlantic share the stage in a performance that weaves together two living traditions: the richness of Mexican roots - son huasteco, son jarocho and norteño traditions - and the ancestral power of Celtic music. Through fusions, shared rhythms and a deep respect for their origins, the artists create a common space where language is no barrier.

Featuring Ross Ainslie (pipes), Patsy Reid (fiddle), Ciorstaidh Beaton (harp), Kathleen MacInnes (Vocals), Sorren Maclean (guitar), John Sikorski (Bass & dance) & Donald Shaw (accordion), along with Juan José Duarte (harp), Nabani Aguilar Vázquez (violin), Mariel Henry (vocals), Sergio Medrano (guitar), Julio Aguilar Caletti (accordion), Adrián Carrillo (guitar) and Luis Huerta (drums).

Supported by the British Council.
