Creative coding clubs for kids and teenagers

CoderDojo is a network of free coding clubs where kids and young people can learn how to be creative with code. They'll have fun and make new friends while they're doing it.

Building digital skills and confidence

CoderDojo clubs run at libraries across the city. During the sessions, they'll learn how to make computer games, interactive stories, music, art, robots, apps, and more!

The clubs give young people the chance to learn how to be digital creators, not just consumers.

Clubs currently run at the following venues:

  • Bridgeton Library
  • Drumchapel Library
  • Elder Park Library
  • Gorbals Library
  • Hillhead Library
  • Kelvin Hall
  • Knightswood Library
  • The Mitchell Library

Helping young people to build skills and confidence

We’re only able to deliver these clubs thanks to a team of dedicated volunteers. They not only help children build their coding skills but also friendships with other club members.

Find out how to volunteer

When they first started, they didn't really even know what to do. They were so used to tables, they didn't know what to do when they had the computer in front of them... So now they have that confidence. They can do it, and they're so excited when they come home.
