Emma Pollock brings her distinctive voice, fearless songwriting and richly crafted melodies to an intimate evening of contemporary Scottish music. Renowned for blending indie rock, folk and chamber-pop influences, Pollock’s songs draw listeners into beautifully observed stories shaped by personal experience, emotional honesty and a sharp lyrical eye.
Audiences can expect a performance that moves effortlessly between delicate acoustic moments and expansive, atmospheric arrangements, with her expressive vocals at the heart of every song. Her repertoire explores themes of identity, family, loss, resilience and self-discovery, delivered with warmth, wit and remarkable emotional clarity. Whether performing quietly reflective material or more rhythmically charged songs, Pollock creates a compelling connection with audiences through music that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
A celebrated figure in Scotland’s independent music community, this special Celtic Connections appearance offers a rare opportunity to experience one of the country’s most accomplished songwriters in a setting perfectly suited to a thoughtful and uplifting evening.
