Witches and wizards have transformed the Old Victorian Street at Riverside, there is a wand shop, a dragon saddlery and a magical sweet shop to explore.
Every day in the holidays there is a magical activity to enjoy

Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 October
1.30pm - 4pm - create your own vampire bat!
Sunday 11 October
Noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm - Vampire Hunters - Join Tam and Ronnie as they take you back to the 1950s in search of the infamous Gorbals Vampire. There will be songs, poetry and mystery on this monster hunt through the museum.
Meet outside the Subway on the old Street.
Tuesday 13 October
1.30pm - 4pm - Join experts from Glasgow University to learn about real science in 17th century manuscripts, and create your own manuscript with quill and ink.
1.30pm - 4pm - Explore the 'magic of metal' with Ralph Moffat our Curator of European Arms and Armour. Knights didn't just slug it on the battlefield, they used magical incantations, spells and religious symbols and words to protect themselves.
Wednesday 14 October
Noon & 1pm - Vampire Hunters - Join Tam and Ronnie as they take you back to the 1950s in search of the infamous Gorbals Vampire. There will be songs, poetry and mystery on this monster hunt through the museum.
Meet outside the Subway on the old Street.
1.30pm - 4pm - Magical rocks and minerals, explore the properties of earth's rocks and minerals with the museum's geology curator. Handle real samples from our collection.
1.30pm - 4pm - Create a magical picture with invisible art.
1.30pm - 4pm - Join experts from Glasgow University to learn about real science in 17th century manuscripts, and create your own manuscript with quill and ink.
Thursday 15 October
10am - 12.30pm & 2pm - 4pm - Jewellery making. Create your own magic charm with Vanilla Ink Jewellers.
1.30pm - 4pm - create your magical story by making lantern slides.

3pm - 4.30pm - Autism Friendly Family Workshop - Magic on Main Street, crafts and object handling
Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 October
1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm - Magical performance lasting 30 minutes. Join Circe the Ancient Sorceress on her secret time travelling Island of Aeaea; as she prepares spells and amulets in her Wizards layer.
1.30pm - 4pm - Create your own spooky fairground gonk.

By Train:
Partick interchange is 0.6 miles from the museum. Take the exit facing Morrisons supermarket and follow the signposted footpath.
By Subway:
Govan subway station, located within Govan Interchange, is 0.3 miles from the museum. Take the Govan Road exit, cross at the lights and then cross the Govan / Partick Bridge. The Riverside Museum is on the north bank of the River Clyde. This is a 5 minute walk from the Govan subway sation to the museum, if you use the Govan - Partick Bridge.
Partick subway station, located within Partick Interchange, is 0.6 miles from the museum. Take the exit facing Morrisons supermarket and follow the signposted footpath.
By Bus:
The City Sightseeing tour bus stops at Riverside

Cycle parking is available at the west side of the museum.
EV Rapid charging station available in car park.
Please note: If you are coming into Glasgow by train and planning to use a PlusBus ticket, the sightseeing buses are not covered.
The Voi bicycle hire scheme is also in operation around Glasgow, with locations to pick up and drop off around the city, including at the Riverside.
If you use a Taxi or private-hire car, there is a drop off point beside the car park. Disabled visitors can be dropped off at the front door, access is via the slip road barrier.

The Riverside Museum is on Sustrans Route 7. Cycle parking is available outside the museum. The Voi Cycle hire scheme has a pick up / drop off station outside the museum.
The Govan - Partick Bridge is another access point to the museum and it is a 5 minute walk from the Govan transport hub, also known as the Govan interchange, to Riverside Museum
The nearest Train station (PTK), Subway station and Bus station can all be found at the Partick transport hub, also known as the Partick Interchange, around 0.6 miles from the museum. There are signposted walking routes from there to the museum.
