Inducted in 2020 into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, Old Blind Dogs launch their 30th anniversary year, making their first UK appearance since releasing their joyously uplifting new album, Knucklehead Circus, in November 2021. The band’s current line-up of founder member Jonny Hardie (fiddle/vocals), Aaron Jones (cittern/guitar/vocals), Ali Hutton (pipes/whistles) and Donald Hay (percussion) is widely rated among their strongest to date, continuing to ring fresh changes on their signature blend of Scottish tradition, edgily innovative rhythm work and international influences.

Reflecting the Dogs’ longtime affinity with Brittany’s Celtic heritage, they’re joined by leading Breton five-piece Startijenn, whose sound – featuring bombarde, binou, uilleann pipes, accordion, guitar and bass - unites venerable fest-noz dance music with wider contemporary stylings. Building on a previous collaboration in 2019, both bands will perform individual sets, before teaming up for a grand joint finale.
