Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome

Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome
The velodrome is named after Sir Chris Hoy, 6 time Olympic gold medallist. It was built in 2012 and is inside the Emirates Arena.
The track is 250 meters long and made from special wood called Serbian pine. This makes it perfect for top athletes to race on. The velodrome has hosted major events like the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
It can be used for many activities, including large competitions, community programs, and private events.
