2025 Information Security and Data Protection course is now live

The 2025 Information Security and Data Protection course is now available. This course is mandatory for all colleagues. If you have not taken it yet, please complete it by 31 May 2026. If you have already finished the 2025 course, you do not need to take it again.

What you'll learn:

In this course, you will learn how to spot and prevent:

  • Cybercrime
  • Fraud
  • Data protection breaches

We will show you how to handle emails safely, keep your devices secure, use AI tools responsibly, and protect information both in the office and when working from home. This training is for everyone, as every role plays a part in keeping our information safe.

Why this matters:

Data breaches have real impacts. They can:

  • Expose personal information
  • Harm Glasgow Life's reputation
  • Cause expensive disruptions

By learning to spot threats and report them quickly, you help prevent these problems. If something does happen, reporting it early really helps.

How to complete it:

The easiest way is to take the course online at a time that suits you. You can access the course on GOLD using your SAP number and password on any device with an internet connection or Wi-Fi. If you are a new user, your default password is your surname. You will need to change it after logging in. It should take about an hour to finish.

If you cannot access the course online, please talk to your line manager. They will provide you with the paper version and record that you've completed it.

If you have already finished the 2025 course, you do not need to take it again.
