A message from our Chief Executive: 2025 Colleague Feedback Survey results
Today, I’m pleased to share the results of our 2025 Colleague Feedback Survey. This year, we received our highest number of survey responses. With 1,136 of you taking the time to tell us how you feel. Thank you to everyone who took part. With your feedback, we can continue to make Glasgow Life a great place to work.
Areas to celebrate
I have attached the full survey results below. However, I wanted to share some key insights from the survey. The question ‘In my venue/area, I am proud of the difference we make to the lives of the people of Glasgow.’ continues to score highly. This year, 83% of you responded positively to this question. A 2% increase on last year. This tells us that you see the value of the work you and your teams do. The responses to the question ‘I am proud to recommend Glasgow Life services.’ reinforce this. 76% of you responded positively to this question.
I am delighted to see these questions continuing to score highly. Thank you for the hard work you and your colleagues do every day.
Areas to improve
Where there remains work to do is in relation to the question, 'I believe the survey results will be acted upon.' This has come out with a similar score to last year, with 40% of colleagues answering positively.
We will continue to take action to improve our scores and make Glasgow Life a great place to work. The Heads of Service now have the results, and they will meet with their teams to review these and create their commitments for 2026. We will share these plans with you early next year. Throughout 2026, we will continue to highlight actions from each service and explore new ways to share them.
Another question to highlight is 'Bullying is managed in my workplace.' The number of colleagues responding positively remained broadly the same as in 2024 at 66%. However, the number of people answering rarely or never has increased by 3%. Again, I want to assure you that we take any claims of bullying seriously. We recently issued our new Bullying and Harassment Policy. We are also rolling out training for all managers on bullying and harassment. If you or a colleague needs support, you can find our policy and other helpful information on the Colleague Information pages of our website.
Finding your team’s report
You can find your team’s report in the spreadsheet attached. Click on ‘Glasgow Life’ within the blue bar at the top of the spreadsheet, and an arrow will appear to the right, giving access to all of the reports. Make sure you check all the way to the bottom of the drop-down menu to find your team.
What happens next?
Over the coming weeks, managers will work with you and your team to develop meaningful actions for the year ahead. Managers will involve all colleagues in agreeing on these actions. This will help create the best possible working environment for everyone.
Managers will also ensure everyone can see the results, particularly non-PC-facing colleagues.
Thank you all for the work you do.
Many thanks,
Kay Morrison
