A warm hello from Kay, our new Chief Executive

Dear colleagues

Monday (7 July) was my first day as Glasgow Life’s Chief Executive, and the first thing I want to tell you is that I’m excited to be here. It’s a genuine privilege to have joined this incredible charity which plays such a vital role in the life of Glasgow.

I would also like to pay tribute to Susan Deighan and thank her for all the work she did in making Glasgow Life the world-leading organisation it is today.

I firmly believe Glasgow Life’s strength lies in its people – your passion, creativity, and commitment. I want to hear your ideas, understand your challenges, and learn from your experiences. Your voice matters, and I’m here to champion the amazing work you do.

I’ve long admired Glasgow Life’s ability to make a meaningful difference to the people of Glasgow and visitors to the city, and I’m delighted to now be part of that mission.

Enabling a positive and innovative culture, founded on strong, visible, and collaborative leadership, and building lasting relationships based on trust and respect is something I’m committed to.

So, thank you for the warm welcome I’ve already received. I’m proud to have the opportunity to lead Glasgow Life into a successful and sustainable future, and I am energised by what we will achieve together.

I’m looking forward to getting out and about, visiting our venues and meeting as many of you as I can over the coming weeks and months.
