Free equality, diversity and wellbeing training this month and on demand

Check out the free online and in-person training and conversation events available this month. They cover a range of topics including anxiety, neurodiversity, self-confidence and stress management.

These equality, diversity and wellbeing sessions are designed to help you develop, grow and feel supported at work.

 

Walk and Talk with SAMH, Every Thursday, 12pm to 1pm, The Nook, 51 Wilson Street, Glasgow

Get active on a Walk and Talk with SAMH to boost your wellbeing. Walking is a great way to get active, connect with others, and take notice of what's around you.

The group starts inside the Nook, where our walk leaders will meet you at the kitchen table as you enter. The walk will start promptly at 12, so please aim to arrive up to 15 minutes early to make sure you're on time.

Women's Health Webinar, Monday 7 September, 10am to 11am

This PAM Wellness webinar explores some of the common health and wellbeing challenges experienced by women, including the female cycle, cancer awareness, and maintaining positive mental health. The session will provide practical information and guidance to support overall wellbeing.

How to Help Neurodiverse People Thrive in the Workplace, Monday 14 September, 12pm to 1pm

This introductory session from the Donaldson Trust will explore neurodiversity and help build understanding of the strengths, challenges, and diverse experiences of neurodivergent people. Attendees will learn how reframing the way we think about neurodiversity can help create more inclusive workplaces, while gaining practical insights into recognising and supporting different ways of thinking, learning, and working.

Conversation Café - Neurodiverse Adults, Wednesday 16 September 5.30pm, The Nook, 51 Wilson Street

A safe space for neurodiverse adults with mental health problems to connect, share experiences, and support one another.

This conversation café is a welcoming space for neurodivergent adults who experience mental health problems. Held at The Nook, it offers a calm, informal setting to connect with others who understand, share experiences, and talk openly at your own pace. There's no pressure to speak- listening is just as welcome. Come along to enjoy a cup of tea, feel understood, and spend time in a safe, friendly community space where difference is respected and support is shaped by those in the room. This cafe is for individuals aged 16 and over.

Living with Anxiety Bitesize/Taster, Wednesday 16 September, 9.30am to 10.15am

This short session from PAM Wellness will provide an introduction to anxiety, including how it can affect daily life and wellbeing. It will offer practical tips and signposting to support colleagues who may be experiencing anxiety or supporting someone else.

Hearte 15 - Women's Heart Health Resource

Did you know heart disease is one of the most common causes of death for women in Scotland? Despite this, heart attacks and heart disease can often be underestimated and under-treated in women compared to men. The HEARTe online module on Women's Heart Health aims to provide information and support to those living with or at risk of heart disease, help you understand more about the signs and symptoms of women's heart health, and improve care for women in Scotland.

Colleague Wellbeing: Taking care of yourself

We are all exposed to different stresses and risks at work. This short module provides the ABCs of taking care of yourself and the active steps we can all take to protect and sustain our wellbeing. To be able to look after others safely and effectively, we first need to take care of ourselves. This learning resource consists of an animation along with the wellbeing planning tool will help you create your own unique plan for looking after yourself and your wellbeing.
