Free Gaelic language and culture classes for colleagues

Interested in learning or improving your Gaelic?

To help get you started, we are offering a free eight-week block of Gaelic language and culture classes in partnership with Fèisean nan Gàidheal.

About the classes

• The sessions are delivered online via Microsoft Teams and are suitable for different levels of Gaelic ability.
• Classes take place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, starting on Wednesday 6 May.
• The programme begins with a one-off Gaelic awareness session, celebrating Glasgow’s long-standing connections with the language. This session will be delivered by broadcaster, Gaelic singer and Director of World Gaelic Week, Joy Dunlop.
• This will be followed by seven weeks of progressive learning, led by a team of supportive and inspiring tutors.

Available levels

• Level 1: Complete beginner
• Level 2: Some previous knowledge / lower intermediate
• Level 3: Intermediate / advanced
