Menopause and mental wellbeing - Alliance & Scottish Government

*This online session is fully booked, but you can request a recording by contacting whp@alliance-scotland.org.uk*

Changes in hormones during menopause can impact your mental health as well as your physical health. For some people this might mean experiencing feelings of anxiety, stress or depression. However, there’s a lot that can be done to help manage symptoms and support your mental wellbeing during perimenopause and menopause.

This session will explore why menopause can impact your mental wellbeing, and what support is available. It will cover the science behind menopause’s effect on mood, wellbeing, cognition and sleep, while pointing to practical tools, lifestyle changes and treatment options that can make a difference.
