Glasgow City Council budget 2026 / 27

You may be aware Glasgow City Council is due to set its budget for 2026/27 next week. As in previous years, Glasgow Life has been asked to put forward savings options for the Council to consider as part of this process.

The outcome of Glasgow City Council’s budget setting directly impacts on us as we are partly funded through a service fee that we receive from the Council. Councillors will debate and set the budget on Tuesday (24 February) and they will decide which of Glasgow Life’s savings options they will take.

We will share another update on the Council’s budget and any savings they ask us to deliver after the meeting.
