Glasgow Climate Week 13-17 May
Glasgow is hosting its first ever climate week from Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May. Glasgow Climate Week is a legacy event from the city hosting COP26 and has been deliberately scheduled to take place during the All Energy Conference and at the mid-point between COP28 in Dubai and COP29 in Baku.
The annual event will be a staging post and focal point for our shared progress towards our net zero goals inviting people to share expertise through a series of partner events and site visits to demonstrate the practical steps already happening in Glasgow.
Over the past year our GlasGOw Greener sustainability campaign has been sharing updates and ideas to help us all play our part in supporting the charity's climate action, and our Infrastructure Support team has lead on projects which have invested over £1.8m to secure our buildings and make them more energy efficient. The 2024 Glasgow World Athletics Indoor Championships were also recently awarded platinum level recognition for the sustainable delivery of the event in March this year.
During Glasgow Climate Week thousands of delegates are expected to the attend the All Energy and DCarbonise event at the SEC on 15 and 16 May.
Professionals from a variety of sectors including onshore and offshore wind, solar, hydropower, marine energy, hydrogen, bioenergy and all the key component parts including investment and grid, coming from Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxemburg, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, the USA and all over the UK are showcasing the very latest clean energy technology in Glasgow.
