Glasgow Life Libraries launch new my first library card design

A library card is one of the best gifts you can give your child - it opens up a world of opportunity and learning through books, activities, and events. Glasgow Life Libraries are excited to launch a new look library card for younger readers. The new card design features an image created by Glasgow-based author and illustrator Ross Collins, inspired by his popular 'There's a Bear on my Chair' book series.

In partnership with our Glasgow City Registrars team, Glasgow Life offers the opportunity for children to become library members as part of the birth registration process. Their birth certificate will be issued in a beautiful matching wallet along with the new card to mark the start of a reading journey with Glasgow Life Libraries. Existing and new library members aged 0-11 have the option to get a new card at their local library. The new design was launched on 23 November, with a fun-filled event at The Mitchell Library.
