GMRC’s annual Christmas cake sale

GMRC held their famous Christmas cake sale this week, raising festive cheer and funds for a great cause.

The event was organised by Julie Taylor, Senior Programme Manager, AnneMarie Masson, Collections and Access Officer, and Niamh Johnston, Collections Access Assistant. Colleagues brought in an incredible spread of sweet treats for all to enjoy, along with crackers and Christmas tunes.

This year’s charity was nominated by Molly Hughes in the Open Museum Community Outreach team. Threehills is a local community supermarket and café in Nitshill. They offer discounted goods for a monthly membership of just one pound and help families coping with poverty and hunger during the cost of living crisis.

This year’s cake sale raised a grand total of £188.50!

Threehills are always looking for donations to help their cause. You can find out more about them at:  www.threehillsglasgow.org
