Go Barbie!

Two fashion dolls are posed in front of the frontage of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, a large, ornate, red sandstone building on a sunny day. The doll on the left has long blonde hair and wears a bright patterned pink, purple, and green dress with pink accessories. The doll on the right has short curly black hair and wears a red dress with gold details. Behind them, the museum’s red sandstone frontage, towers, and arched entrance are visible, with people sitting and walking in the foreground.

Tickets for Barbie®: The Exhibition, set to be one of the shows of the summer, are now on sale.

This June, the iconic doll makes her debut at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, and it’s already shaping up to be a must-see exhibition.

From Saturday 13 June to Sunday 18 October 2026, visitors can explore the history, design and cultural impact of one of the world’s most recognisable brands.

Curated by the Design Museum in partnership with Mattel, the exhibition spans more than 65 years of creativity and innovation — tracing Barbie’s evolution from her debut in 1959 to today.
