Health and Wellbeing networking event

Our Libraries and Communities Wellbeing team recently hosted another successful Health and Wellbeing networking event at The Mitchell Library. These quarterly sessions bring together representatives from a wide range of public and third sector organisations from across the city to share information and learn about some of the fabulous wellbeing support work being carried out in our local communities.
These free networking events provide a valuable platform for raising the profile of our Glasgow Life wellbeing programmes, as well as an opportunity to learn about other local health and wellbeing services in Glasgow.
As a result of these sessions, many of the stakeholder organisations go on to form collaborative working partnerships with our Libraries and Communities Wellbeing team and other Glasgow Life colleagues.
Around 40 people attended this latest event to hear from speakers from Breast Cancer Now, Bowel Cancer UK, SWAN Scotland, HSCP, ALISS (Alliance Scotland), Death Cafes @ The Mitchell Library, Chest Heart Stroke Scotland and GamCare.
One attendee said "Thank you for organising the event which was highly beneficial for all who attended. The informal approach worked very well and encouraged active participation", while another told us "I wanted to thank you for hosting such an engaging wellbeing event yesterday. It was a pleasure to participate and connect with others that are committed to exploring impactful ways to support wellbeing in our communities and organisations."
Our next event will be held in August 2025 and organisations are already asking if they can reserve a speaker slot!
