Increase to mileage rate for cars and vans

HMRC has increased the approved mileage rate for cars and vans from 45p to 55p per mile. In line with Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Life has now approved the implementation of this increase.

The change will take effect from 6 April 2026. Where applicable, any backdated payment due will be included in employees' August 2026 salary.
