Today (Monday 1 June) marks the start of National Volunteers' Week, an annual campaign across the UK that celebrates the amazing difference millions of volunteers make in their communities and for local causes.

Over the past year, more than 1,800 volunteers gave over 26,000 hours to help Glasgow Life make sure people across our city can enjoy active and fulfilling lives. Our volunteers supported us at events and in regular roles at our arts and music venues, museums, libraries, and community and sports facilities. We are truly grateful to every volunteer for their help, dedication, and enthusiasm.

Our Chief Executive, Kay Morrison, has taken this chance to tell our volunteers how much we appreciate and value everything they do for Glasgow. Their efforts make our city better for everyone who lives here or comes to visit. Watch Kay's short video message here.
