Criteria for taking part in the scheme

To take part, you must meet certain conditions:

• You must be paying PAYE tax.
• Deductions made through salary sacrifice should not take your wage below the national minimum wage.
• You must have a contract with the council family that does not end during the hire period.
• Registering is a legally binding agreement. You are agreeing to cycle for at least 50% of your commute. Failure to do so could be a breach of contract, rendering the deduction ineligible for tax and NI relief.
• During the lease period, the cycle remains the property of your contracted employer. However, it is your responsibility to ensure your own household insurance policy covers the bike.

• Cycle Solutions will confirm details of your order, including how much you will save.
• They will send you an email so that you can securely view and sign up to the required hire agreement.
