February is Period Dignity Month. A chance to get people talking openly about periods and challenge stigma - it's not taboo!

This year's theme is Periods in Sport. It takes inspiration from the upcoming 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Glasgow City Council, together with its Period Friendly partner Simon Community Scotland, provides free period products in around 400 locations across Glasgow.

You will be able to find products in:

  • All Glasgow City Council schools
  • Over 120 community venues and publicly accessible spaces
  • 50 Health and Social Care Partnership buildings
  • 29 local food banks and pantries

Many venues now also offer reusable products, as well as single-use pads and tampons. These include Femme Tasse period pants and Unicorn Cups. A menstrual cup designed and supplied by a local enterprise.
