Riverside Jam - Urban sports weekend at Riverside Museum 21 and 22 June

Riverside Museum are hosting Urban Sports Jam, a free family event with BMX and skateboarding classes, competitions, DJs and street food. Come along and join in or sit and watch some of the best BMX riders and skateboarders battle it out to win some amazing prizes.

From 11am to 7pm
Free BMX and skateboarding classes
From 11am to 3pm on both days, join us for kids come-and-try (bike and skate workshops) sessions. All you need is a pair of trainers - boards, bikes, helmets and pads are all provided. This session is best suited for age 8 plus, but 5 plus are more than welcome. These sessions are on full-sized skateboards with smaller ramps and bikes for all abilities and sizes.
Competitions
Saturday 21 June from 3pm to 7pm, come along and join in on skateboarding competitions - great prizes to be won.
Sunday 22 June from 3pm to 7pm, join in on our BMX competition - prizes to be won throughout the day.
Suited for age 8 plus, but 5 plus are more than welcome.

Saturday 21 June at noon
Join artists Raydale Dower and Toby Paterson on Go Skateboarding Day 2025 to hear about an exciting new public space at Glasgow's Riverside Museum, designed with skateboarding and BMX in mind.
Raydale and Toby will share insights into the space's design evolution, the role skateboarding and BMX play in Glasgow's culture and future plans for another ambitious project led by Glasgow Urban Sports: Devon Street Urban Park, beneath the M74 on the city's Southside.
Come along to hear about Glasgow's most exciting new public space, watch some of the action and maybe even get involved yourself!
