Spreading Christmas cheer with B&Q

Our Community Development and Supporting Families teams have once again teamed up with B&Q Parkhead to spread some festive cheer to families in the local area.

Colleagues helped to identify families, asking the children to write what they would like from Santa on a gift tag. They then placed those tags on the B&Q Parkhead Christmas tree, and the store staff purchased the gifts for our colleagues to share.

David McCready, Libraries and Communities Officer said: "For many families, Christmas can be a particularly difficult time. The pressure of creating a special Christmas for children can feel overwhelming. The Community Development and Supporting Families teams are deeply thankful to the B&Q Parkhead staff for their generosity. For the second consecutive year, their kind donations will help bring some joy to children this Christmas and provide comfort to families in the Calton area during a challenging season."
