Applications are now open for the Visual Artist and Craft Makers Awards 2026/27.
The Visual Artist and Craft Makers Awards in Glasgow, run by Glasgow Life in partnership with Creative Scotland, are bursaries available for individual artists and makers, based or resident in the city.
The purpose of these bursaries is to support visual artists and craft makers in their creative and professional development.
Applicants must demonstrate relevant experience and an ongoing commitment to the development of their practice and show how the funding will help them develop as an artist or maker.
Fixed bursaries of £500 and £1,000 are available and applicants should choose the level that best suits their proposed activity.
In addition, requests for support towards Personal Access Costs will be considered. Personal Access Costs are treated separately to the bursary request; this is to ensure that applicants with access needs are able to use the full bursary for their planned activity.
There will be two funding rounds in 2026/2027. The closing dates are:
Autumn Deadline
Tuesday 20 October 2026 at 5.00pm
