2026 – Now in its 11th year, Summer Nights at the Bandstand is a highlight of Glasgow’s cultural calendar, welcoming star studded acts and thousands of music fans each Summer.

2024 - 100th anniversary of the construction of Kelvingrove Bandstand and Amphitheatre.
2014 – Summer Nights at the Bandstand launches, bringing the iconic venue back to life with a vibrant programme of live music events.
2014 - A new lease of life - Work is completed.
2013 - Work began to restore and modernise the bandstand
2001 - 2012 - Glasgow Building Preservation Trust, Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Life and the local community developed a conservation plan and secured funding to restore and modernise the bandstand.
2001 - Historic Scotland awarded it a Category B listing, providing legal protection for the whole site.
1999 - The bandstand condition deteriorated and it was closed off to the public.
1970-90s - The Rock Gigs
1924 - A new bandstand for a new era
1875 - The first bandstand is built
1872 - The first live performance is held in Kelvingrove Park
