Beatroute's Roots

The summer of 2018 will see Beatroute's Roots come to life, engaging local young people in an exploration of the historical and cultural heritage of Balornock and Barmulloch.

During our a 5-week programme of creative workshops (including dance, drama and music) young people will not only explore the neighbourhood's history (right back to the capture in Robroyston of William Wallace), but also the tremendous cultural diversity of Beatroute's community in the modern day.

Beatroute's Roots will culminate in the interpretation of creative pieces, performed by the young people for the wider community in Beatroute's outdoor green spaces.
