FLOCK is a participatory outdoor dance inspired by
urban birds. Up to 30 strangers gather and move as a temporary collective,
guided by artist and choreographer Bex Anson and a contemporary ballet dancer.
A one-hour pre-show workshop leads into a 20-minute live performance through
the Merchant City.
Through playful acts of gazing, perching, darting and
soaring, the group becomes a shifting murmuration — a visual poem created in
real time by people who have only just met.
Join the pre-show workshop for movement and drawing inspired by birds and public space, or simply watch as the flock gathers, drifts through the city and disperses again.
