To mark two years to go until the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships, join Olympic gold medallist Katie Archibald as she discusses the books that made her.

Katie Archibald only began her competitive cycling career at the age of 17, having started her sporting career in swimming. But what a career she has had – becoming one of Scotland’s most successful cyclists and a winner of silver and gold medals at the recent Olympics in Tokyo.

Katie was appointed an MBE in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to cycling and will be joined by the novelist (and cycling enthusiast) Chris Dolan for this very special event as we look forward to the 2023 UCI Road World Championships to be held in Glasgow.

If you’d like to hear about which books entertained, moved and inspired Katie throughout her life, tune in to hear about The Books That Made Her.

This event will be broadcast live on the at 6.30pm on 24 August and be available to watch on demand for three weeks after.  To watch for free, please subscribe to our Vimeo account. The link to view will be available when it is live.
