In collaboration with Young Saheliya and Sikh Sanjog, Leith Creative is delighted to present the second of two community film screenings in Leith in the run-up to our A Wall Is A Screen: Leith promenade film event this August.
We will be screening Bollywood biopic Mary Kom (2014) at Destiny Church Leith. Entrance to the screening is free, refreshments and food available from Punjabi Junction provided free of charge. Doors open 6pm. Please book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
The film is a chronicle of the life of real-life champion Indian boxer Mary Kom, who went through several hardships before audaciously accomplishing her ultimate dream. Certified 12 (note, no-one under this age will be permitted entry), running time 2hrs. Leith Creative is delighted to welcome Scottish Asian female boxer Farah Jamil to open the screening.
This event is supported by Leith Chooses and Film Hub Scotland.
