Kilkenny-based art and music collective Moot is known for pushing boundaries and championing, through its Moot Tapes releases, some of Ireland’s best talent on the alternative music scene

Elaine Howley – a founding member of Cork-based band, The Altered Hours, and a collaborator in progressive projects like Crevice, Howlbux, and Morning Veils – is renowned as a singular voice who has spanned impressive territory in the Irish music underground scene. Howley’s solo debut, The Distance Between Heart and Mouth, is the singer and musician’s most personal work to date, and her hypnotic vocals mesmerise in an ad hoc collection of songs musing on closeness and in-between worlds.

Two years on from appearing on sublime 4-track EP Working, Irish producer Jellypelt confirmed his arrival in 2021 when his full-length debut, 2127 Tanya, dropped on Moot Tapes. Its intoxicating, hazy electronic music features a masterful mix of mutated samples and scattergun breaks, landing all the punches of a golden era UK rave classic.
