Musical Instrument Donation Drive

We Make Music Scotland Instrument Libraries is an initiative to get musical instruments into public libraries across Scotland. It means you can borrow an instrument for free (just like you would a book) allowing budding musicians of all ages to try something new.

We’re delighted to announce, following a successful pilot of the project, we’ll be resuming our instrument lending service in Spring 2026.

To get started, a national call-out has been made for people wishing to donate instruments to the project. If you’d like to get involved, instruments can be dropped off at the Mitchell Library and Ibrox Library.
