Roger Norrington CONDUCTOR

Francesca Dego VIOLIN

Some conductors are in a class of their own. Sir Roger Norrington is in his eighties, but there’s no

mistaking his energy, his artistry, and what The Herald called his ‘magical intimate relationship with our national orchestra’. We’re delighted to welcome him back with a concert that features Haydn at his stormiest, Beethoven at his most evocative, and – once again – the wonderful Italian violinist Francesca Dego in the concerto that Mozart wrote just before his 20th birthday: sometimes elegant, sometimes outrageous, but always entertaining.

This concert is recommended by Classic FM.
